Bundi : Bike thief gang has been active in the district for the last few days. There have been more than 70 incidents of bike theft in the city itself. This is the situation at the district headquarters, where top police officers sit. Same is the situation in other police stations of the district. The incidents of robbery and theft are also increasing day by day. The biggest thing is that the victims are making rounds of the police stations after the incident, but the hearing is not taking place and the criminals are not being caught.
In the December 9 issue, the news was prominently published with the title ‘Wah Ri Police… Looting and theft have increased in the city, they are doing it by merely entering the incident in the register, but not registering the case…’. After this, Sadar Police has registered a case of bike theft from Nainwan Road after 41 days. But, in this too, the police is catering to the needs of only selected people by calling them to the police station. To hide the figures, cases have not been registered against many people till now. Took reports of thefts also, lodged complaints only during investigation. Bundi. The victim Deendayal has visited the police station 5 times since November 16 to lodge a report of bike theft. When he came on Wednesday, he asked to come the next day.
When the reporter investigated bike theft in both the police stations of the city, it came to light that 16 bikes were stolen in the Sadar police station area in the month of August. Out of these, 6 bikes were found. Similarly, in the month of September, 9 bikes were stolen, out of which 1 bike was found. 4 bikes were stolen in October, 1 in November and 1 in December. Similarly, if we talk about Kotwali police station area, in the last 3 months, 30 to 40 bikes have been stolen from main markets including hospital, bus stand, sports complex, Khojagate. But, most of the cases were not registered. On the contrary, the police questions and answers the victim itself. Whereas, it is written in the police stations… trust among the common people and fear among the criminals… but, this does not seem to be happening in Bundi district. The complainants are making rounds for justice. Many victims are not even coming back to the police station.
Rajatgriha Colony Kanhaiyalal Sharma said that a case of bike theft has been registered 41 days after the news was published. Whereas, the bike was stolen on October 20, a report was also given. The same worry was being raised that if any incident happened with someone on a bike, it would lead to bigger problems. A call came from Sadar police station on Tuesday. After this, after getting the same report signed, a case was registered. Now they are talking about inspecting the spot. The complainant said that this serious issue was published prominently. The police called me to the police station to register a case. Victim Prahlad Meena told that there was an incident of robbery with his mother in the fodder market and he had given the report. When the news was published, a call came from the Kotwali police station. Now I will go to the police station. At least in incidents of robbery and theft, the police should immediately register a case. If a complainant comes to the police station regarding a crime, it is necessary to register his report. Now I will talk to Bundi SP and Kota IG about this. – S. Sengathir, ADG (Headquarters), Kota Range Incharge
