Bundi : Due to lack of sufficient water flow in Andhe distributary of Bundi Branch Canal, farmers are forced to set up ponds. According to the information, after the CAD administration started the water flow in the middle distributary, the minors connected to it were closed and water was supplied to Bantwada in the tail area. Later, the administration started water flow in other minors also, but now due to lack of sufficient water at many places, farmers are forced to put up water supply. Currently, due to lack of sufficient water flow in the canal in other villages of the area including Khotya Thikaria Charnan, Lilada Vyasan, Lalpura, Karad Ka Bardha, farmers are forced to set up posts to plow the fields. Due to lack of water at many places, farmers are forced to water their fields even with engines. On the other hand, regarding this matter, Junior Engineer Mahavir Meena said that due to lack of sufficient water flow from the canal to the distributary and after the opening of Gumanpura and Jarkhoda Minor above, now less water flow is happening in the canal. As soon as there is sufficient water flow in the canal, farmers will start getting adequate water.
Ramsagar lake canal not cleaned, farmers worried
Hindoli / Gothra Farmers are worried about the main canal of Ramsagar Lake located near Hindoli town not being cleaned. Farmers told that this time due to the filling of Ramsagar lake due to rain, hundreds of bighas of land nearby are irrigated with canal water. In such a situation, the canal has not been cleaned yet. The canal has been damaged at many places and bushes have grown up. In such a situation, if water is released in the canal, the farmers of Tail may have to face a lot of problems in carrying water. According to the information, Ramsagar Lake was earlier under the Gram Panchayat. The Gram Panchayat used to get the canal cleaned every year before leaving the canal, but with the Panchayat changing into a Municipality, due to the Municipality not paying any attention to this, the farmers of the tail area were not getting timely cleaning of the Rabi crops. Will have to worry about irrigation.
