Bundi spread colorful colours, folk culture flourished in the procession

Bundi : Bundi Chhoti Kashi A beautiful display of folk colors spread in Bundi on Monday. The three-day Bundi Mahotsav, the major cultural and tourism festival of Hadoti, started with much fanfare on Monday. Many types of competitions took place throughout the day. In these, along with local guests, foreign guests also tried their best. This three-day event is being organized under the joint auspices of the District Administration and Tourism Department. District Collector Akshay Godara inaugurated the festival on Monday morning with the sound of musical instruments, chanting of mantras and Ganpati worship. District Collector and former member of the royal family of Bundi, Vanshvardhan Singh hoisted the flag. On this occasion, folk artists gave attractive performances. After this, the procession started amidst the dance of folk culture artists from the neighborhood of the fort. Children were seen dancing with folk artists in the procession. Folk artists performed Kachchi Ghodi dance amidst musical tunes, while the sound of traditional folk instruments kept resonating.

A large number of domestic and foreign tourists participated in the festival. A large number of people were seen on the roadside and rooftops to admire the colors of folk culture in the procession. Business, religious, social organizations and institutions welcomed the procession by showering flowers at various places. For the first time, flowers were showered from a drone in the procession. It remained the center of attraction for the people. In the procession, scout guides and school children were seen walking in a queue in a disciplined manner. The procession passed through the major markets of the city and reached the police parade ground. Horses, camels and dancing folk artists graced the procession. Message tableaux from various departments also remained the center of attraction for the common people. On this occasion, the canvas painting organized at Garh Palace was also inaugurated by the District Collector. Chairman Saroj Aggarwal, BJP District President Suresh Aggarwal, District Superintendent of Police Rajendra Kumar Meena, former district chief Rakesh Boyat, former MLA Omprakash Sharma and a large number of intelligentsia of the city were present in the program.
