Bundi stopped payment to those who feed the hungry, kitchen operator debtor

Bundi : Annapurna Rasoi, which was opened on the orders of the Bundi State Government to feed the hungry, is not getting paid in the district. In such a situation, the kitchen operators, besides being debtors, are tired of making rounds of the officials for payment, yet no reason is being given for stopping the payment. Recently, even after the District Collector ordered the release of payment, the city No action was taken by the council. In such a situation, some Annapurna kitchens in the district are on the verge of closure. It is noteworthy that the BJP government changed the name of Indira Rasoi to Annapurna Rasoi. The quantity of food available in these kitchens was increased from 450 grams to 600 grams. In one thali, a person gets chapatti, dal, vegetable, rice, millets (porridge or millet khichdi). The state government had also increased the grant amount from Rs 17 to Rs 22. A total of 19 Annapurna kitchens are being operated in the district, including 9 in Bundi, two each in Keshavraipatan, Nainwan, Kapren, Indragarh and Lakheri, in which more than three thousand people are serving food every day. Among these, the payment for Annapurna Kitchen in the Municipality area has been pending for four months and the payment for the kitchen operated in the Municipal Council area has been pending for three months.

This is how they became debtors

Annapurna Kitchen operators said that three to four people are employed in each kitchen for cooking and other work, whose remuneration is around thirty thousand rupees. Ration material also has to be brought there. Apart from this, the expenses of gas cylinder, electricity and water are mainly included. In such a situation, all the Annapurna Kitchen operators have become debtors. If payment is not made promptly, the kitchen may be locked.

orders not followed

The District Collector was also informed on 22nd November about the problem being faced due to non-payment in recent days. Taking the matter seriously, the District Collector had given orders to the Commissioner to make the payment immediately, then there was hope, but even after that the payment is not being made. The matter of non-payment is in cognizance. Payment for two months will be made in a day or two.
