Bundi : Annadata in the district seems to be surrounded by problems from sowing to produce endorsement. Despite this, the public representatives and officials who are supposed to be well-wishers of the farmers are not able to solve their problems. These days, apart from the shortage of canal water and fertilizers, farmers are forced to face hardships in the biggest virgin agricultural produce market of the district. Even after this, he is not being heard in all the three cases. According to the Agriculture Department, sowing has been done in about 2.5 lakh hectares in the district in the current season. During the monsoon, Lord Indra blessed the district and all the major dams and ponds were filled.
Recently some dams released water into the canals with half-baked preparations, hence water reached the fields at the upper end, but even after a month, water has not yet reached the tail area. The tail’s miners and washes are lying dry. Farmers have also demonstrated at many places, but they were not even heard, hence farmers are forced to buy expensive diesel to irrigate their fields. In Kapren and Notada areas, the problem of water not reaching the canals of tail area is more.
The weather increased the pain
Farmers somehow prepared the crops in the fields day and night, but the excessive rain in Kapren, Dei and Nainwan areas of the district increased their pain. After the protest and giving memorandum to the officials and public representatives, orders were given to get the damage done, but till now no one in the district has received compensation for the loss incurred during the monsoon.
