Bundi three day district festival starts from today, procession will start

Bundi : Bundi Hadoti’s colorful tourist festival Bundi Mahotsav-2024 will start with Ganesh worship and flag hoisting at Garh Palace on Monday at 8.30 am. Various cultural and entertainment programs organized during the festival will be the center of attraction for the general public and domestic and foreign tourists. Under Bundi Mahotsav, colors of folk culture will be spread across the district from 18th to 20th November. During this period, various colorful and entertaining programs will be organized across the district. In the series of programs of the festival, the programs will start with the worship of Garh Ganesh and flag hoisting on Monday at 8.30 am on the first day. After this, a procession will be taken out from the Garh Palace.

The same procession will be welcomed by showering flowers from drones. Folk artists, men and women of different religions and sects in traditional costumes, camels and horses will be included in the festival, which will be the center of attraction for everyone. The procession will pass through the main roads of the city and conclude after reaching the Police Parade Ground. Various traditional competitions will be held here from 11 am. Under this, competitions like rope pulling, moustache, turban tying, Panihari race etc. will be organised. There will also be a lamp donation program at Nawalsagar Lake at 6 pm. In the series of programs, Best of India cultural program will be organized at the park located on the banks of Naval Sagar at 7.30 pm. On the occasion of Bundi Mahotsav, performances will be given by folk artists at major tourist places of the city for three days from 10 am to 3 pm. Festive colors will be seen at other places including the subdivision headquarters of the district. Under this, presentations will be given in Indragarh and Taleda on Monday, Lakheri and Nainwan on 19th and Hindoli and Keshavraipatan on 20th.

Preparations finalized, reviewed

District Collector Akshay Godara finalized the preparations for organizing Bundi Mahotsav-2024 in a meeting on Sunday. During the meeting, the District Collector took information about the arrangements made on the procession route and directed that there should be no loose electrical wires on the route and all security arrangements should be made. He instructed the DFO that voting will start at Jaitasagar Lake from 9 am on November 20. For this, all necessary preparations should be completed. Here, the District Collector reached the venue and took stock of the preparations made for the event to be held during the Bundi Mahotsav and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials.
