Speeding truck hit from behind
ASI Jitendra of Sadar police station said – 4 people including Kota resident Vijay Sharma and his brother Harihar Sharma were going from Jaipur to Kota in a car. At around 11.30 pm on Wednesday night, a speeding truck coming from behind hit his car on National Highway-52 near Ramganj Balaji. The driver did not stop even after hitting the car and dragged the car for about 1 kilometer. Due to being dragged by the truck, sparks kept coming out from under the wheels of the car. The four people in the car stopped breathing and started screaming loudly.
The car was dragged to the railway crossing.
ASI said – Even after hitting the car, the truck driver continued driving the truck at a speed of 50 km/h and dragged the car to the railway crossing, 1 km away. People mustered courage and tried to stop the truck, but the truck driver did not stop the truck. Later, when the crowd of people increased, he stopped the truck. After this people caught him and handed him over to the police.
No one filed a report
ASI Jitendra said- After the collision, a part of the car got stuck in the truck. Both the vehicles have been confiscated after the accident. At present no one has filed any complaint. Appropriate action will be taken on receipt of complaint. ASI Jitendra said – Accidents happen every day near Ramganj Balaji on Kota-Jaipur National Highway-52. The police has also declared it a black spot. Due to sharp turn from one side, accidents keep happening here every day.
