Bundi woman was branded as a witch, body was burnt with hot spear and inhumanly tortured

Bundi : A case has come to light in village Khashahali Ka Jhopada of Gram Panchayat Gokulpura of Hindoli area that a woman who had gone to a temple for relief from stomach ache was attacked with a hot spear, her hair was cut and her face was blackened and she was paraded around the village. The police swung into action after the video of this incident went viral on social media on Friday. Based on the report of the victim, the police have registered a case and started investigation. Police said that the victim is a resident of Shahpura district. According to the victim, she has been having stomach pain for a long time. Someone told him that there is a temple in Khashaali’s hut, he should go there. There the stomach ache gets cured. On this, the woman went to Dev Sthan in Khashaali’s hut with her son on 24th November. Four-five women and people including Babulal Regar, Sonu Meena, Tarachand Meena, Hemraj Meena, Lekhraj Meena, Chetan Meena, Rama, Chhetar Meena, Gauri Devi and wife Brahmalal Meena were present there. There Babulal Regar, Sonu Meena and Gauri Devi expressed their feelings. During this time, some of the people present caught hold of the victim. All three of them branded his body at various places with hot iron spears. Due to this he got burn wounds.

Everyone called her a witch, caught hold of her hands and legs and cut off all the hair from her head. Then after blackening his face, he took him around the village and brought him back to the temple and tied him to a tree. Everyone said that she looked like a witch. It would be cured in a day and the victim was kept there. Even after a day passed, she did not get better. After this, on the night of 25th November, the accused left her outside the village and said that she would be fine now. take it home. The victim’s son brought her home from there, but the victim’s health worsened. After this, the victim lodged a complaint at Hindoli police station on Thursday. Someone had made a video of this incident, which went viral on social media on Friday. After this the police came into action and registered a case under the Witchcraft Act. Police officer Pawan Meena said that a case has been registered on the report of the woman. Evidence has been collected by going to the spot.
