Bus travel will be cheaper again in entire Rajasthan including Jodhpur, know which city will get the most benefit

Jodhpur : BRTS’s low floor buses will once again run on the city roads from Friday. For operation, work orders have been issued by North Corporation Commissioner Atul Prakash. Currently, 20 buses will be operated on two routes. In the coming days, the remaining 19 buses will start operating on three routes. To provide cheap travel to the public, the minimum fare of the buses has been kept at Rs 10.

The minister in charge and the secretary took cognizance

Recently, during the visit of Minister-in-Charge Madan Dilawar and Secretary-in-Charge Dinesh Kumar, the issue of stopping BRTS buses came up and a meeting was held with Secretary-in-Charge Dinesh Kumar, North Corporation Commissioner Atul Prakash and city MLA Atul Bhansali. After that, North Corporation Commissioner wrote a letter to the government in this regard and sought guidance. Now, after getting consent from the government, the buses are being restarted. Here, in the JBCL meeting also, Collector Gaurav Agarwal and Mayor Kunti Devda asked to run the BRTS buses.

The operator handed over the keys

After Corona, BRTS buses were put on the roads on 18 July 2023, but after some time the operation of the buses stopped. The corporation gave a notice to stop the buses on 6 December 2023. Even after that, the operator operated the buses for about 7 months. When he was not paid till 6 December, he handed over the keys of the buses to the corporation.

The operation of BRTS buses was started in 2013. After this, an agreement was made in 2016 for operation for 5 years. Their operation was stopped in 2020 due to the Corona period. After this, these buses were closed since the completion of the contract in 2021. After this, news was published from time to time to operate these buses for the convenience of the public. Along with the corporation administration, the state government was also warned. After that, the corporation administration came into action and started operating these buses for the convenience of the public.
