Dausa : Electricity Corporation on Wednesday launched a campaign against those who have outstanding electricity bills. In which 17 domestic connections were disconnected in Bandikui city. At the same time, connections to seven water schemes in rural areas were disconnected. Due to this, the villagers faced water crisis.
This action was taken when the Electricity Corporation did not deposit the outstanding bills despite repeated notices and verbal complaints. CT JEN Vishwaraj Rajouria said that in Bandikui city, electricity connections of 17 consumers were disconnected due to outstanding dues of more than one thousand rupees. He said that this action will continue continuously. On the other hand, action was taken to disconnect the connections of 7 water schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission in Chandera, Urwadi and Reharia. The transformers installed here were also taken down.
Gudhakatla JEN Ruch Goswami said that there was an outstanding of about Rs 5.50 lakh on these schemes. Several times they were asked to deposit the amount but when the dues were not deposited, action was taken to disconnect the connection. He said that neither the Panchayat nor the Water Supply Department is depositing the outstanding amount.
