Alwar : Despite the ban of Alwar Grape-4, illegal mining of gravel and stones is going on indiscriminately in the district. Every day hundreds of tractors are passing through rural areas full of stones and gravel. But no action is being taken by the Mining and Pollution Department. Illegal mining of stones and gravel is taking place at night on a large scale in many areas including Malakheda, Rajgarh and Ramgarh. At night, hundreds of tractors carrying gravel and stones are leaving the villages. Many times tractor rallies are seen on the highway even at night. Accidents have also happened due to these vehicles, but the authorities have turned a blind eye. Due to this, the morale of the mining mafia is high.
Tractors are passing through these villages: Illegal mining of stones is taking place in Shyamganga and surrounding areas in Malakheda area. Tractors laden with stones are reaching the construction works going on in the city through the routes of Jamalpur, Mirzapur, Dhakpuri, Haldina, Nithari, Kairwada, Bhajit and nearby villages. Illegal mining of gravel is going on in Rajgarh area including Nangli-Todayar, Bhadkol, Berla, Khedla and Ramgarh. More than 100 tractors are reaching Alwar through the highway day and night. It is being told that most of the illegal mining of gravel is taking place from Bandikui, which is being brought to Alwar avoiding the eyes of the police.Aravali Apart from hollowing out the hills, the environment is also being affected due to illegal mining activities even after the grape ban. Fluctuations in AQI are seen due to mining and vehicular transportation. Due to illegal mining in many areas, dust has covered the trees in the surrounding areas. An attempt was made to contact the Mining Department officials in this regard, but they did not pick up the phone.
