Campaign in Mendhar to include the youth living along the LoC in the army

Mendhar (Jammu and Kashmir), December 4 (IANS). The Indian Army organized a special lecture for the youth living near the LoC in Mendhar sector of Poonch to encourage them to join the Army and to provide them information about Army related opportunities. In this lecture, local youth were given information about what things they have to keep in mind before joining the army.

In the program, Army officers told the youth that joining the Army is not only a matter of pride but also a golden opportunity to serve the country. They were explained in detail about the educational qualifications required for army recruitment, physical standards and every step of the selection process.

A large number of youth participated in the program and got their queries related to army recruitment resolved. Local youth described this initiative as very useful. He said that this information will prove helpful in realizing his dream of joining the army.

Local resident Sameera Rafiq said, “We were told how we can join the Indian Army. Earlier we did not have such detailed information about recruitment in the Indian Army. In this program, we were given information about everything from filling the form to height, measurement. Information was given.”

Another local youth, Julkar Nain, said, “On Wednesday, an awareness program was organized by the Indian Army to become Agniveer. In this, under Agniveer recruitment, we were told about how to become Agniveer. I also dream that Should I join the Indian Army? We were told in detail what the physical measurements should be to join the Indian Army, what subjects we should keep in mind. Went.”
