Mumbai, December 11 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party along with common people took out a candle march outside Borivali station in Mumbai against the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh.
North Mumbai District President Ganesh Khankar told IANS, “We express serious concern about the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. Hindu temples are being demolished, they are being killed, they are being burnt there. And their daughters and sisters are also being tortured. Therefore, I also urge the Bangladesh government to stop these incidents. Congress and their supporters should never do anything about this issue. They don’t speak because they don’t love the country.”
He said, “Hindu society needs to be united. Like our Yogi ji had said, “Hindu will be divided if divided”. But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that if we are “united, we are safe”. Today we have to We have to come together and protect our rights. This does not mean that we are snatching away anyone’s rights or harming anyone, but we will speak for ourselves and save our people.”
BJP’s Borivali Municipal Corporation Vidyarthi Singh said, “A movement has arisen in the entire country. The way our Hindu brothers are being tortured in Bangladesh, they are being attacked and their temples are being attacked, This is completely condemnable. Today when this day is being celebrated, the Hindu society is standing up for its Bangladeshi brothers. You can see that the signature campaign has started, and two days ago we across the country Protested by forming human chains at various places.
He said that there is a current government of Bangladesh and an environment is being created in India against the Prime Minister there and under this environment we are protesting here today. This movement is getting a lot of support from the Hindu society, and this movement is going on peacefully. Signature campaign has been done, and now candle march will be organized. What the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Sangh Parivar do on this issue is their personal matter, but our commitment is towards the Hindu community, which is present in large numbers in this country, which is under threat in Bangladesh today. We are doing our work for this. No one has time to think about Congress and no one is taking them seriously, they keep talking.”
