Pratapgarh : The car was completely damaged due to a collision between a car and a Nilgai in Rajpuria area of Pratapgarh district, but four people in the car narrowly escaped in this accident. After the incident, local villagers said that the number of Nilgai in the district is continuously increasing. Earlier these wild animals used to live in forests, but now they are more visible in open fields and roadsides.
Due to this, farmers are facing loss of their crops, while the number of road accidents has also increased. Nilgai often come on the main roads and cause danger to the drivers. These animals cross the road especially at night, which can prove to be a big threat to the drivers. Accidents caused by collisions of Nilgai with cars and other vehicles have become a matter of concern for the local people. Apart from this, due to these animals, farmers are also facing problems in the safety of their crops.
