Jaisalmer : Amidst the ongoing agitation under the leadership of Jaisalmer Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati in Baiya village of the district regarding registering the Oran-Gochar lands in the revenue records and not allowing private companies to work till then, the police arrested the Shiv MLA. A case has been registered against him at Jhinjhinyali police station under various sections of the Indian Justice Code.
A case has been registered against Bhati under sections 221, 224 and 132 of BNS. These sections have been imposed in relation to obstructing government work and blocking roads. Since Ravindra Singh is an MLA, CID-CB will investigate this matter. It is noteworthy that last Friday in Baiya village, Bhati had made two villagers get off the police vehicle. After that this case was registered on Saturday. Shiv MLA’s talks with the district administration in Jaisalmer had failed on Saturday itself.
