Cases of molestation of women and minors increased in Rajasthan, this shocking report surfaced in video.

Jaipur News Desk: The issue of atrocities against girls dominated the assembly elections last year, but the situation has still not improved much. Last year, maximum cases of atrocities against girls were registered in Jaipur (city), Alwar and Kota districts and till June this year also, maximum cases were registered in these districts only.

This was revealed in the reply given by the state government in the Assembly in July. It was told that from the year 2021 to June 2024, 14731 cases of sexual violence against minor girls and POCSO Act were registered, out of which challan has been presented in 10394. Apart from these, investigation could not be completed in 1056 cases.

Situation worsened in Bikaner

In the year 2023, Bikaner district was at 11th place in the state in cases registered under the POCSO Act, which has now come to the fourth place as per the data till June. This year, Bikaner has left behind Bhilwara, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Jodhpur (city) and Nagaur districts in the stigma of atrocities against girls.
