Ajmer : The Ministry of Education is working fast to conduct CBSE board exams twice a year. New rules are being made. Earlier, where CBSE exams were held once in February-March, now there will be exams twice a year. The second board exam will be held in June. In case of failure in any subject in 12th, there was a supplementary exam in July. Children who could not pass the exam or whose result was compartment could also give supplementary exam. Now they will appear in the exam to be held in June. In this exam, they will be able to re-appear for the subject of their choice or all the subjects. This scheme will be implemented from 2026.
Results in a month
CBSE will take 15 days to conduct the second exam and one month to declare the result. Like the JEE Main exam, the final result will be determined by the exam in which the marks are obtained best.
Efforts to protect children from stress
The year 2025 will be very important for providing a stress-free environment to the students. In terms of innovation in examinations, many changes will be seen in engineering-medical examinations including CBSE, Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University. From the session 2025-26, CBSE’s 10th and 12th examinations will be held twice a year, where the second examination has been proposed to be held in June. The Ministry of Education has already given its approval. Students will be able to appear in board examinations once or twice as per their convenience.
Exercise of syllabus in hindi
Efforts are underway to create courses in Hindi in addition to English in engineering institutes of the country. All India Council for Technical Education will implement a new course in the first semester of B.Tech. Like English, 70 percent of the course will be the same across the country. The respective states will be able to make changes in 30 percent of the course according to local and industrial requirements. During B.Tech studies, 20 percent of the classes will be online.
There are two exams in a year in UG too.
Semester system in UG third year: Semester system was implemented in the first year in the session 2023-24. It has started in the second year in the session 2024-25. Under this, there will be examinations twice a year in the third year in 2025-26.
