CCTV footage of Sambhal violence surfaced, youth wearing masks are pelting stones

Sambhal, 26 November (IANS). A CCTV footage of stone pelting during the survey in the mosque located in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh has surfaced.

It can be clearly seen in this footage that many youths are throwing stones at the police. The youth have covered their faces with clothes, so that they cannot be identified by the police. The age of most of the youth pelting stones seems to be 20 to 30 years.

In the video, many people are seen with stones in their hands. They are throwing these stones at the police and administrative officials. Most of these people are seen to be young people. There is an atmosphere of chaos at the incident site. In this, these people are seen continuously showering various things including bricks, stones on the police and administrative officials one after the other.

So far, four people have died and many have been injured in the Sambhal violence. 15 policemen were also injured in this violence.

Sambhal SP Krishna Kumar himself has confirmed this. According to officials, Police Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sanjeev Kumar was shot in the leg, while Deputy District Magistrate Ramesh Chandra’s leg was broken. Sambhal police area officer Anuj Kumar has also been hit by shrapnel.

Giving information about the incident, SP Krishna Kumar said that till now 25 people have been arrested in this case. In the coming days, as the investigation into this case intensifies, other people will also be arrested.

He said that no rioter involved in this violence will be spared. Everyone’s arrest will be ensured. Strict action will be taken against anyone who has made fun of the law.

He further said that action will be taken against all the miscreants under NSA. All the miscreants involved in this violence will be identified on the basis of CCTV footage.
