Central government should give Rs 1 lakh 36 crore for the rights of tribals and indigenous people of Jharkhand: Minister Irfan Ansari

Ranchi, December 11 (IANS). Jharkhand Health Minister Irfan Ansari welcomed the announcements of the Governor’s address in the Assembly on Wednesday and said that this government is taking steps for the development and welfare of all sections of the society. Speaking to the media in the Jharkhand Assembly complex, Ansari said that the government will take forward the thinking and expectations with which the people have given the mandate.

Referring to the state government’s demand for payment of dues of Rs 1 lakh 36 thousand crore from the central government in the Governor’s address, he said that this is a completely legitimate issue. This amount is outstanding with the state. This is the money of the people of Jharkhand, its tribals and indigenous people. The BJP government at the Center should give this money to Jharkhand, because this amount is needed for the development of the state, to take it forward and for the people of all classes and religions of the state.

He said that the government has presented the supplementary budget in the House on Wednesday. This is a secular budget, in which people of all religions and classes have been taken care of. It is in line with the needs of the public. The interests of everyone, from OBC to minorities, have been discussed in it. The government has also talked about the formation of Madrassa Academy, which was kept pending for years.

Health Minister Ansari, in response to a question, said that during the elections, BJP people never talked about the issue of development of Jharkhand. He kept talking only about infiltration and Bangladesh. On the contrary, our government has taken care of all sections of people. Bharatiya Janata Party had targeted a section here for 18 years. They should learn from our government how all sections are taken care of.
