Rajasthan : Monsoon has become active in the state. Heavy rains are continuing in many districts. People suffering from humidity and heat got relief for the second consecutive day on Thursday. When people woke up in the morning, drizzling rain welcomed them. The rain continued almost throughout the day. The temperature dropped by 5-6 degrees due to the rain. In the last 24 hours till 5 pm on Thursday, Jaipur received 134 mm of rain (5.36 inches). At the same time, 103 mm of rain was recorded in Alwar, 102 in Sikar and 46 mm in Karauli. Here, light to moderate rain with thunder has been recorded at many places in eastern Rajasthan and heavy rain has been recorded at some places in Jaipur, Alwar, Dholpur and Dungarpur districts. Light to moderate rain with thunder has been recorded at some places in Bikaner division.
What next…monsoon will remain active for three days
According to the Director of Meteorological Centre, Radheshyam Sharma, a circulation system is formed over north-eastern Rajasthan and the monsoon trough line is passing through Bikaner-Churu. Due to its effect, there is a strong possibility of monsoon being active in eastern Rajasthan for the next three days. During this period, heavy rain is likely at many places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota divisions. At the same time, rain with thunder is likely to be recorded in some parts of Bikaner division during the next 48 hours. Light to moderate rain is also likely at some places in the eastern parts of Jodhpur division and the weather is likely to remain mainly dry in the border areas.
