Rajasthan : Monsoon has become active once again in Rajasthan. Due to which rain has started again in eastern Rajasthan. According to the latest data of the Meteorological Department, so far 557 mm of rain has occurred in this season, which is 50 percent more than normal. If we talk about August only, then 345 mm of rain has occurred, which is 121 percent more than normal.
Heavy rain alert in 23 districts
On the other hand, Jaipur Meteorological Center has issued a heavy rain alert in 23 districts some time ago. Yellow alert has been issued in Sikar, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Pali, Rajsamand, Nagaur, Jodhpur and surrounding areas. Due to this, there is a strong possibility of heavy rain at some places. Apart from this, Orange alert has been issued for Jaipur, Dausa, Dungarpur, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Udaipur, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Chittorgarh, Jalore, Sirohi. Under this, there is a possibility of lightning along with thunder and moderate to heavy rain.
Weather forecast for the last 24 hours
Talking about the weather of the last 24 hours, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places in the state along with thunder and hailstorm. The highest rainfall of 78.0 mm was recorded in Sumerpur (Pali) of eastern Rajasthan. Apart from this, 73 mm rain was recorded in Luni of Jodhpur and 71.0 mm rain was recorded in Shivganj of Sirohi.
Heavy rain alert in the coming days
According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder in Kota, Udaipur division in the coming days. Along with this, rain activities will increase in many parts of eastern Rajasthan from September 1 and there is a strong possibility of heavy rain activities continuing at some places for the next one week. Along with this, light to moderate rain is expected in some parts of Jodhpur, Bikaner division of Western Rajasthan and heavy rain at some places on September 2-3. Along with this, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Kota, Udaipur and Ajmer divisions of Eastern Rajasthan on September 5-6.
