Child marriage free India campaign launched in Tonk state

Tonk : As per the instructions of Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, Jaipur, Child Marriage Free India Campaign was started at the district headquarters on Thursday. Dinesh Kumar Jalutharia, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority Tonk, informed the girls about Child Marriage Prohibition Act, 2006 in the Girls Residential Hostel run by the Department of Social Justice Empowerment. Also administered an oath not to indulge in child marriage and to stop it.

Jalthuria said that child marriage makes the future of the girl bleak. While child marriage becomes a hindrance in a girl’s education, it also imposes many social constraints on her. Therefore, girls should not do child marriage. If the family does not agree then explain it to them. If you still don’t agree, seek legal help.
