Jaipur News Desk: Regarding Diwali, Jaipur administration has started giving licenses to shopkeepers to sell firecrackers. In the last two days, licenses have been issued to more than 1100 shopkeepers. This time 2083 shopkeepers had applied to sell firecrackers. After verification, the police has considered 1394 shopkeepers fit to sell firecrackers. The applications of those shopkeepers who did not meet the safety standards have been rejected. If these shopkeepers meet the standards then they can apply again.
License granted subject to these conditions
This license to sell firecrackers has been given to shopkeepers with certain conditions. The first condition is that no shopkeeper will be able to sell firecrackers to any small child. Crackers will be given only in the presence of adults. No smoking material, lamps, candles etc. will be kept near the firecracker shop. Things that can cause or spread fire should not be kept around the shop. Will not leave any electrical wire open. No family should live above or below the shop. The emergency gate will have to be kept open near the shop. Will not be able to gather much crowd in the shop. Along with all this, it will be mandatory to keep fire extinguishers, sand and soil in the shop. So that fire can be prevented in case of emergency.

2083 applications for firecrackers have been received in Jaipur Commissionerate. Maximum 979 applications have come from the western region. 455 applications have come from East, 213 from North, 436 from South. Of these, 757 licenses have been issued in the West, 284 in the East, 88 in the North and 265 in the South. The rest have been cancelled. According to the calendar, this time Kartik Amavasya is starting at 3:53 pm on 31st October. At the same time, the next day, on November 1, it will last till 6:17 pm. In such a situation, the night of 31st October is more appropriate for donating lamps. In Jaipur too, more than 100 astrologers have unanimously declared October 31 as the correct date to celebrate Diwali. Astrologers have said that celebrating Diwali on any day other than 31st October is not according to the scriptures.
