Chinese Vice Prime Minister delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the Wuchen Summit

Beijing, November 21 (IANS). Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xueshang attended the opening ceremony of the Wuchan Summit of the World Internet Conference-2024 in Wuchan, south China’s Guangdong Province, and delivered the keynote address.

Ding Shueshang said that President Xi Jinping issued a video congratulation, which fully reflects the great importance given to the Wuchen Summit of the World Internet Conference. China regards the development of the Internet as a major opportunity to promote reform, opening-up and socialist modernization.

He said China actively uses and develops the Internet and takes major steps in building a network power and digital China. China shares opportunities for the development of Chinese-style modernization with other countries, jointly leads the way in digitalization, networking and intelligence, and gives strong impetus to world modernization.

Ding Shueshang put forward four-point suggestions to promote the construction of a community of shared future in cyberspace to a new stage and build a better “digital future”. First, to improve global governance and realize a shared destiny in cyberspace. Second, strengthen collaborative innovation and promote the accelerated development of network information technology. Third, strengthen fairness and universal benefit, and promote global sharing of Internet development results. Fourth, comply with laws and regulations and upgrade the level of network security protection.
