How many transformers were burnt in which month?

In Chittorgarh district, 236 transformers were burnt in April 2024, 717 in May, 572 in June, 727 in July, 554 in August, 1152 in September, 1731 in October and 1845 in November. It is coming to light in the district that transformers are burning due to overload. That is, transformers burn due to overloading of a single transformer beyond its capacity. The reason is clear that electricity is being stolen by putting hooks on these transformers installed in the agricultural sector, which increases the extra load on them and as a result the transformers get burnt. Although corporation officials detect cases of electricity theft and take action to fill VCRs, in many cases, due to vote banks coming in the way, calls from politicians render even the officials helpless. Whereas strict action must be taken against electricity thieves who cause loss of revenue to the government.
