Chittorgarh CBI arrests narcotics inspector and broker, interrogation continues

Chittorgarh : chittorgarh Jaipur team of Central Investigation Bureau has arrested Chittorgarh Central Narcotics Bureau Inspector Adarsh ​​Yogi and his broker Keshav Kumar in a bribery case of Rs 3 lakh. The Bureau first caught the broker in Bhilwara. After his arrest, the inspector in Chittorgarh was also arrested. After arresting both of them, the Bureau team took them to Jaipur on transit remand. It is alleged that the inspector was extorting Rs 3 lakh by threatening to implicate the complainant in a case registered in NCB. The complainant from Bhilwara recently lodged a complaint with CBI Jaipur against Inspector Adarsh ​​Yogi of NCB Chittorgarh. The complainant told CBI that two-three months ago, NCB had registered a case regarding illegal sale of banned drugs in New Delhi. In the same case, Inspector Adarsh ​​Yogi of NCB Section III Chittorgarh, Chittorgarh was investigating the purchase made for Rajasthan. Yogi interrogated the complainant in Bhilwara. The complainant informed that the purchase of the medicine was as per the rules. After this the inspector started asking for two year old bills also. The complainant said that the bill would be provided only after asking for this information through a departmental letter. But, the inspector started harassing him continuously. He started threatening to implicate him in the case if he did not pay twenty lakh rupees. The owner of a company started pressurizing him to pay money as a middleman.

CBI reached Chittorgarh and investigated the entire matter. The complainant reached the NCB office. Due to the crowd of farmers regarding opium lease here, Inspector Yogi called him to the Collectorate intersection at 11 pm on Wednesday night. On reaching there, Inspector Yogi asked for twenty lakh rupees. The complainant refused to pay such a huge amount. After this Yogi agreed to Rs 8 lakh. Yogi said that on Thursday morning, deliver the money wherever he asks. The next morning, Yogi called the complainant and said that he would collect the amount in Bhilwara instead of Chittor on Thursday morning. On Thursday morning, near Gayatri Ashram in Bhilwara, he talked about giving eight lakh rupees to one of his men. The complainant reached Bhilwara on Thursday morning. Where CBI laid a trap. The person sent by Yogi asked for eight lakhs. The complainant said that it was only Rs 3 lakh. As soon as broker Keshav took this amount, CBI caught him. After this action, another CBI team arrested Yogi in Chittorgarh. Both the accused were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate here and transit remand was taken and later both the accused were taken to Jaipur. According to CBI sources, the team searched Yogi’s ancestral house in Bikaner and his residence in Chittorgarh.
