Chittorgarh : Chittorgarh State Election Commission has started preparations for the elections in view of the expired tenure of 49 urban bodies including Chittorgarh Municipal Council and Nimbahera and Rawatbhata municipalities. The Commission has written a letter to the concerned District Election Officers and instructed them to appoint employees to prepare voter lists according to the bodies in the area. In such a situation, the buzz of elections has started in these urban bodies. However, the state government had announced to hold elections for all local bodies simultaneously during the budget.
Demand list in seven days
In the letter issued by the Commission, the election officers of the districts belonging to 49 civic bodies including Chittorgarh have been instructed to prepare the list of enumerators and send it within seven days. In this order, the Commission has given instructions to prepare a list of 10 percent additional employees.
Third Front will show its colors in Chittorgarh!
This time Chittorgarh Municipal Council elections can be exciting. The contest here is likely to be triangular. Among these, along with BJP-Congress, the third party is independent MLA Chandrabhan Singh Akya. Akya may have supported the BJP state government, but his distance from the party organization in Chittor and the party remains intact.
