Chittorgarh : Chittorgarh The biggest problem for daughters outside their homes is safe toilet. Be it school or any other place. Now school going daughters will not have to worry. The state government is working on pink toilet project for schools. New toilets will be constructed in government schools under Mission Pink Toilet in the state. 10 thousand 370 schools have been selected in 11 thousand 208 gram panchayats of the state. Of these, pink toilets will be built in 7 thousand 188 schools. In this, approval has been issued for 6 thousand 734 toilets and work has started on 4 thousand 389. Now work will start on the remaining 2 thousand 99.
Panchayat will get the work done at its level: The Gram Panchayat will construct pink toilets in the schools of the district at its own level. A pink toilet will cost a total of Rs 90 thousand including sanitary pad incinerator. The government has given instructions to all development officers to develop girls’ toilets in government schools as pink toilets and to complete the work within the stipulated time. Sanitary pads will be available through the Udaan scheme of the Women and Child Development Department. A tree destroying machine will also be installed in these toilets.
The work will be done like this: In every Gram Panchayat, the government school with maximum enrollment of girl students will have to be identified and administrative approval for toilet renovation for pink toilet will have to be issued. The renovation work of toilets in all the gram panchayats of the district will have to be completed as per the prescribed standards.
