Chittorgarh : University Grants Commission (UGC) has taken a big decision for the students of the entire country including Chittorgarh. Whether you have studied Arts, Science or Commerce in 12th, students can do graduation in any stream of their choice. This change is a new ray of hope for those students who want to change their stream after 12th. With this new guideline of UGC, lakhs of students studying in class 12th in schools affiliated to Rajasthan Board and CBSE Board in the state will get more opportunities. UGC has announced that students who have completed 12th from Arts and Commerce can now take admission in any graduation course in Science. But, for this they will have to pass the National Entrance Examination (CUET) or University Entrance Examination of the concerned course. This means that now students who have completed 12th from Arts stream will also be able to take admission in B.Tech and other technical courses.
This will be the situation
The scores of Common University Entrance Test and CUET-PG will remain valid for one year. Currently, after the CUET entrance test in May-June, admissions are done in July-August and after the new rule of UGC, the universities who want to take admission in Jansi-February also can give admission on the basis of the result of entrance test. This is the rule of UGC. The decision is very good. Students will benefit, but in-depth study of any subject is very important, what is taught in 11th, 12th is useful in future. Any subject is incomplete without basic knowledge.
