Churu : Under the Sub-National Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign, a campaign to administer polio vaccine to children up to 5 years of age was started on Sunday. Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Manoj Sharma said that the sub-national pulse polio vaccination campaign has been started from December 8. The campaign was inaugurated by Churu MLA Harlal Saharan and District Collector Abhishek Surana by administering oral polio vaccine at pulse polio booths at Government Dedraj Bhartia Hospital.
During this, Superintendent Dr. Hanuman Jaipal, RCHO Dr. Vishwas Mathuria, BCMO Dr. Jagdish Singh Bhati BPM and Omprakash Prajapat were present. RCHO Dr Vishwas Mathuria said that after administering the medicine at the booths, the medicine will be administered door-to-door for the next two days. Pulse polio vaccination was monitored at the block level and a line list was prepared and the medicine was administered to the children. RCHO said that pulse polio dose will be given to 3 lakh 26 thousand 242 children up to five years of age in the district. For this, 91 cold chain points were created. He said that 12 mobile teams and 8 transit teams were formed in the district. Pulse Polio campaign was started by administering medicine at the booth. After this, medicine will be administered to abandoned children up to five years of age by going door-to-door.
Polio campaign started by giving two drops to children
On Sunday, under the Pulse Polio campaign, polio medicine was administered to the children by the Medical Department. BJP leader Rakesh Jangid launched the Plus Polio campaign by giving two drops of water to the children in the Government Upazila Hospital. On this occasion, BJP Mandal President Vishal Sharma, PMO Dr. Motilal Soni, Block Medical Officer Dr. Satyanarayan Prajapat, Rajendra Soni, Mahendra Kulhari etc. were present.
