Churu Demand to start purchasing groundnuts at support price

Churu : All India Kisan Sabha demonstrated on Thursday afternoon demanding reactivation of the online registration portal to start purchasing moong and groundnuts at support price. After this, District Collector Abhishek Surana submitted a memorandum to the CM. Indraj Singh and Umrao Singh of Kisan Sabha said that this year moong was sown on 2.85 lakh hectares of agricultural land in the district. According to which about 20 lakh quintals of moong has been produced. At present, due to the difference of about Rs 1500 to 2000 between MSP and market price, farmers are suffering huge losses. After opening the online portal for procurement on MSP, within two days the portal was closed saying that the target would be achieved.

Went. Due to which farmers are not able to register online to sell their crops. This is a big blow for the farmers. Groundnut was sown on 80 thousand hectares of land in the district. According to which, about 30 lakh quintals of peanuts are estimated to be produced. Even in groundnut, farmers are facing huge losses due to the difference of Rs 1500 to 2000 between MSP and market price. Therefore, there is a demand of all the farmers that their moong and groundnut crops should be purchased at MSP. It was told in the memorandum that if the demands of the farmers are not met, then on November 26, the farmers of the district will stage an indefinite strike at the District Collectorate.
