Churu News Desk: This time, scooters will be distributed to 455 girl students in the college under the Kalibai Bhil and Devnarayan free scooter distribution scheme of the state government. Last year, 86 out of 256 girl students were deprived of scooty due to non-issuance of e-voucher. Only 170 girl students got scooties. This time the Commissionerate has removed the process of e-voucher. This time the list of eligible girl students for 2023-24 has been released by the Commissionerate.
After this, the amount will be transferred directly to the account of the concerned agency from the Commissionerate. A list was sent to the college. After receiving the list of girl students, the concerned college has started investigating by asking for their documents. The scooter will be distributed after the complete process. At present, the nodal college Lohia College has got the documents of 150 out of 455 examined. Ramesh Kumar, in-charge of the free scooter distribution scheme of Lohia College, said that on December 12, scooters will be distributed symbolically to 5 girl students at the district headquarters. Scooties will be distributed directly to other girl students through the agency. Number of benefited girl students has increased by 8 times in 5 years: The number of free scooties given to girl students studying regularly in the college has increased by 8 times in 5 years. In 2018-19, 56 girl students had received scooties under the scheme, whereas this time in 2023-24, 455 girl students will get scooties. In-charge Dr. Madhusudan told that this time scooties will be distributed to the underprivileged girl students of last year 2022-23.
Under Kalibai Bhil and Devnarayan Yojana, scooters are given to girl students with prescribed qualifications. The student must be a native of Rajasthan and the annual income of her parents should be 2.5%. Should be less than lakh rupees. Under the Devnarayan Scooty Distribution Scheme, scooters are distributed in different categories to one thousand girl students of the state.
