Churu Legal Service Unit Manonya’s two-day training program begins

Churu News Desk: A two-day training program of Legal Service Unit Manonyaya is being organized under the chairmanship of Chief Judicial Magistrate Harish Kumar at the District Alternative Dispute Resolution Center on Wednesday. In which, on the first day of the training, Hawa Singh of Chief District Education Officer’s office, Raghuveer of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Deputy LADC Vivek Priya Soni, Assistant Prakash Verma, Vinay Sridhar, Priyanka and members of the unit etc. were present. Chief Judicial Magistrate Harish Kumar said that Legal Service Unit Manonya has been formed for the NALSA Scheme, 2024. On this occasion, CJM talked about providing legal aid to intellectually disabled persons and Legal Service Unit Manonya how to implement the said scheme on the ground. Information was also given about Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, Mental Health Care Act etc. Raghuveer, Social Security Officer of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, gave detailed information about Disabled Pension Scheme, Disabled Aid Equipment Scheme, Educational Assistance Scheme and Employment Scheme for Disabled Persons.

Hawa Singh of the District Education Officer office told about the educational grant scheme for children with special needs, special education school scheme, teacher training scheme for disabled children and the efforts being made by the department for the disabled children. Deputy LADC Vivek Priya Describing the objective of the scheme, Soni gave information about protecting the rights of mentally ill and intellectually disabled persons and their legal rights.
