Churu: Persons with disabilities and organizations working for their upliftment were honoured.

Churu : Churu Various programs were organized across the district on Tuesday on World Disabled Day. District level Divyangjan felicitation ceremony was held under the aegis of Social Justice and Empowerment Department at Government Bagla Umavi of District Headquarters. In the program, 28 persons with disabilities and individuals and organizations working in the field of upliftment of persons with disabilities were honoured. Deputy Director of Social Justice and Empowerment Department, Nagendra Singh Rathore said that 3 disabled people of the district were honored by the department at the state level.

The chief guest of the program was MLA Harlal Saharan and it was presided over by CEO Shweta Kochhar. The guests honored the disabled people by giving them Rs 10,000, citation and insignia. Deputy Director Rathore told about the schemes run for the disabled. On this occasion, Principal Mahesh Kumar Soni, Dr. Sumit Garg, Sahajusar Principal Jagdish Prasad, Bharat Vikas Parishad Vice President Sudhakar Sahal, Assistant Administrative Officer Lakhan Singh Bika, Pankaj Swami etc. were present. Here, State President of Royal Disabled Society, Akhtar Khan expressed displeasure over the low presence of disabled people in the program. Here, under the leadership of Congress City Block President Aslam Khokhar, disabled people were honored on World Disabled Day. On this occasion, Congress District Secretary Ali Mohammad Bhati, Block General Secretary Aziz Khan Dilawarkhani, Aslam Khan Moyal, Farooq Khan Chauhan honored Royal Disabled Development Institute State President Akhtar Khan Rukankhani, Shafiq Qureshi, Kalu Mohammad and Haroon Jarra by garlanding them and giving them insignia. .
