Churu : Ratangarh Police of Churu district has arrested a youth as part of the special operation being conducted against illegal weapons. Police have recovered an illegal pistol and two cartridges from the youth. SI Devi Sahay of Ratangarh police station said that during patrolling with the help of DST, information was received from the informer that a young man was roaming on NH 11. Reached the spot immediately after receiving the information. Ajay Kumar Khichad, resident of Jandwa, was stopped and searched near Jaipur culvert on NH-11. During this time a pistol, two cartridges and magazine were found with him. Since the accused did not have a weapon related license, the illegal weapon was confiscated and he was arrested.
SI Devi Sahay said that the youth could not tell anything about the illegal weapon. Due to this he has been arrested. He told that the youth will be interrogated thoroughly about the weapon. For what purpose did he bring the weapon and where did he bring it from? An inquiry will be made regarding this. He said that the accused will be presented in the court on Thursday afternoon.
