Jaipur : 17 new districts announced by the previous government in Rajasthan are in trouble, because due to the census to be held from July 1, the creation of new districts has been banned across the country, now this matter has reached the central government, CM Bhajanlal Sharma himself has written a letter to the Union Home Minister on this matter.
The Congress government had created new districts
The new districts created by the previous Congress government in Rajasthan may soon be abolished. Due to the census to be held in the country, the central government has banned the creation of new districts across the country from July 1. In this matter, the report of the Lalit K. Panwar Committee formed by the government was also submitted to the government recently. Now the Chief Minister of the state Bhajanlal Sharma has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah and requested that this ban be lifted by December 31.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma wrote in the letter- The Central Government has frozen the powers of the state to decide administrative units like districts, tehsils, towns and villages for the upcoming census on 01 July 2024. The state government wants to benefit the general public by issuing notification regarding creation of new revenue villages, subdivisions, tehsils, sub-tehsil offices etc. in the state and changes in the jurisdiction of districts etc. Therefore, please grant permission to extend the deadline for stabilization of administrative units like districts, tehsils, towns, panchayat committees, gram panchayats, district councils and local bodies of Rajasthan state till 31 December 2024.
Districts could not be formed due to code of conduct
The previous government had created about 17 new districts in the state including Dudu and Neemkathana. The same three districts were also announced, but due to the imposition of the code of conduct, they could not be completed. But now if the government cancels the newly created new district, then opposition to the government is also considered certain.
