Jaipur : Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav met Union Water Power Minister CR Patil in Delhi on Wednesday. During this, the 20-year-old issue of Eastern Rajasthan, the PKC-ERCP project, was discussed. Talking to the media, CM Bhajanlal said that this is a very big project and both Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will work together.

He said that all the issues related to this project have been resolved and in the coming days, MoA (Memorandum of Agreement) is going to be signed between the two states. The work will also start soon. Both the states will jointly take the work forward. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that in the meeting of Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal-ERCP Link Project held today, pending disputes between the two states have been resolved with the cooperation of the Union Ministry of Water Power.

At the same time, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work is going on in the country on the Aspiring River Linking Campaign. He said that work is going on on the Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal-ERCP link project between Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan and with the cooperation of the central government, both the states have resolved the 20-year-old dispute.
Joint DPR will be prepared in Delhi
It is worth noting that both the states have submitted their respective DPRs and now the Central Water Commission is preparing a joint DPR. The implementation of water harvesting with the help of NGOs for water conservation in Rajasthan was discussed, and emphasis was also laid on reviving water storage structures.
