Jaipur : The previous Congress government had created 17 new districts in Rajasthan. Now the BJP government is reviewing this decision of the Congress government. A committee was also formed under the chairmanship of retired IAS officer Lalit K Panwar regarding the needs of the districts. Its report has also been submitted. Now the Cabinet Sub Committee will deliberate on this report today. Ministers Rajyavardhan Singh, Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary, Suresh Singh Rawat, Hemant Meena will participate in this meeting to be organized by Education Minister Madan Dilawar. The report of the Panwar Committee will be discussed in the meeting. There will be a dialogue on administrative needs, financial resources, jurisdiction and other points in 17 new districts and 3 divisions.

New districts were formed on the recommendation of Ram Lubhaya Committee

It is worth noting that the previous Ashok Gehlot government had formed 17 new districts and reorganized three divisions on the recommendation of Ram Lubhaya Committee, which the BJP was constantly opposing. Now the BJP is in power in the state. In such a situation, the state government had decided to review the administrative requirements, financial resources and other points of the newly formed districts.

These are the 17 new districts and 3 divisions of Rajasthan

The new districts in Rajasthan include Anupgarh, Gangapur City, Kotputli, Balotra, Jaipur City, Khairthal, Beawar, Jaipur Rural, Neemkathana, Deeg, Jodhpur City, Phalodi, Didwana, Jodhpur Rural, Salumber, Dudu, Kekri, Sanchore and Shahpura. Apart from this, three new divisions have been created in Rajasthan, which include Banswara, Pali and Sikar. Due to elections, the entire process of their formation has not been completed yet. In such a situation, now the Bhajanlal government of the state has formed a committee with the aim of completing the process of formation of 17 new districts and 3 divisions.
