Prayagraj, 7 December (IANS). With the aim of making Mahakumbh 2025 divine and grand, the Yogi government is making every possible effort by giving priority to the facilities of the pilgrims. In this sequence, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday inaugurated 100 public shelters with a capacity of 250 beds in the fair area. Besides, a computerized lost and found center was also started in the Mahakumbh Mela area.
CM Yogi said that in view of the huge number of pilgrims and visitors during a grand event like Mahakumbh, the need for public shelters becomes important. Traditionally pilgrims and saints spend time in open spaces or circulation areas, which creates many problems for them in cold weather. The government has made arrangements for public shelters with a total capacity of 25 thousand beds. The objective of these shelters is to not only provide comfortable and safe stay to the pilgrims but also to make their journey accessible and convenient.
The public shelters prepared for Mahakumbh have been equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. Each shelter will have a capacity of 250 beds. Mattresses, pillows and clean sheets will be provided along with the beds. Separate toilets and bathrooms have been provided for men and women. Regular cleaning will be done in these shelters, which will also include changing of bed sheets. Apart from this, arrangements have been made for clean drinking water and round-the-clock security. Devotees will be able to use these facilities at a nominal fee, which will provide an option to all sections of people to stay in the Mahakumbh.
The fee system for using public shelters has been kept simple and accessible. On normal days, devotees will have to pay Rs 100 for a one-day stay and Rs 300 if they stay for two days. The fee will be doubled during the main Snan festival and its surrounding days. Devotees can make payment through cash or digital means, after which they will be issued tickets.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said this initiative is especially for those pilgrims who cannot afford hotels, guest houses or private camps. These public shelters will not only make their travel affordable, but will also enable them to experience comfort and safety in the cold weather.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the computerized Khoya-Paya Center in Prayagraj Mela area as part of the preparations for Mahakumbh 2025. This center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, so that problems related to missing devotees can be resolved immediately. This initiative will provide a safe and organized experience to the pilgrims.
On Saturday, the Chief Minister inspected the Shivalaya Park being built by Prayagraj Municipal Corporation in Arail, Naini. Taking stock of the park, the Chief Minister directed to complete the construction works on time. Shivalaya Park is a grand place dedicated to Mahadev, which reflects the glory and workmanship of Indian temples and Puranas. Spread over an area of eleven acres, this park is full of diversity, in which a confluence of art, nature and entertainment will be seen. To enhance the beauty of Mahakumbh, this park under construction has been constructed at a cost of Rs 14 crore.
The Shivalaya Park has been designed in the shape of a map of India, with all the major temples recreated at their original locations, to give visitors the experience of a pilgrimage. Tulsi Van and Sanjeevani Van have also been created in the park. A separate zone is being created for children.
Apart from this, there will also be food courts and restaurants inside the park. The most special thing in preparing the Shivalaya theme park is that mostly waste is being used in it. Z Tech India Limited, the company involved in its construction, will have the responsibility of its maintenance for three years.
