Cold wave in Jaisalmer district due to snowfall in North India, cold increased

Jaisalmer News Desk: The cold winds blowing in Jaisalmer for the last two days have left people shivering. The cold wave started from Tuesday morning, which continued on Wednesday also. The cold wave shook the people. The sunshine in the afternoon seemed pleasant to the people. People were seen sunbathing to escape the cold. Now the effect of cold is likely to increase further in the coming days. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of cold wave lasting for three days. Due to cold winds in the district, children going to school in the morning had to face problems. People going to work in the morning were also seen trying to avoid the cold. The weather has also become beneficial for Rabi crops. The effect of winter is stronger in canal areas than in urban areas. During the cold wave, the day temperature was recorded at 23.8 degrees and the night temperature was 8.2 degrees.

Yellow alert of cold wave

Agricultural meteorologist Atul Galav said that on December 7-8, a western disturbance became active in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal in North India. Due to the effect of this system, there has been snowfall along with rain at many places in these states. This system has now advanced a little. Due to which icy winds have started blowing from North India. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of cold wave in the district from 11 to 13 December. Agricultural meteorologist Atul Galav said that the cold wave will last till December 13. Due to which the day and night temperatures are likely to drop by 3 to 4 degrees. Due to which the effect of winter will become more intense. There is a possibility of relief from cold wave from December 14. The sudden increase in cold has changed the daily routine of people. Public life has also been affected.
