Cold winds increased the chill due to snowfall in Jalore Himalayas, temperature recorded at 6.3 degrees.

Jalore News Desk: Due to snowfall in the hills and cold winds coming from the northern direction, the chill has increased in Jalore for the last 2 to 4 days. The night temperature has been recorded at 6.3 degrees and the day temperature has been recorded at 23.9 degrees. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of further increase in cold in the coming days. Due to cold winds coming from the northern direction at the speed of 8 km per hour, the temperature in Jalore has been continuously falling for the last few days. On Tuesday, the day temperature was recorded at 23.9 degrees and the night temperature was recorded at 6.3 degrees. Due to which the cold has intensified. At the same time, people have started using woolen clothes in the morning and evening as well as during the day. In the morning, people remained crouched in their homes until the sun came up. Due to which the roads in the market appeared deserted till around 8 o’clock.

Meteorologist Anand Kumar Sharma said – Snowfall has started in the Himalayan hills since few days. Due to which the speed of cold winds from northern directions has increased in Jalore. Due to which the cold has suddenly increased in Jalore for the last 7-8 days. Due to the winds, cold will continue in Jalore for about a week. The night temperature is likely to be around 5 to 7 degrees and the day temperature is likely to be around 22 to 23 degrees.
