The night temperature has fallen to around 10 degrees. Sunday night has been the coldest night of this season. The effect of cold is visible even during the day. The air has also started feeling cool. The temperature has been falling continuously for the last 24 hours. The Meteorological Department has said that the effect of cold will intensify in the coming days. There is a possibility of decrease in temperature during the day as well as at night.
In fact, after snowfall in the hilly areas of North India, now severe cold has knocked in the desert too. Due to the northern wind, winter has taken hold. For the first time this season, the effect of cold was felt even during the day on Sunday. There is also a feeling of coolness in the air. A drop of 3 degrees has been recorded in mercury in a single day. On Sunday, the maximum temperature of Barmer was recorded at 29.9 and minimum at 11.4 degrees Celsius. Whereas a day earlier on Saturday, the night temperature in Barmer was 14.2 degrees. The mercury has fallen due to the cold wave.
