Udaipur : Udaipur Winter has now melted. The times have also started. At many places the dew drops turned into ice. Now the cold steps are getting stronger even during the day after night. On Tuesday, the day temperature dropped by 1.3 degrees to 21.3 degrees. This was the second consecutive coldest day of the season. On the other hand, the night temperature increased by 2.8 degrees and reached 5.8 degrees. However, this level was 3 degrees less than the average level of 8.8 degrees. The day temperature was also 4.7 degrees less than the average of 26. Even though there is a difference of 15.5 degrees between day and night, the sun is shining. Despite this, the cold is showing its effects even during the day.
Let us tell you that a day before on Monday, the night temperature was recorded at 3 degrees and the day temperature was 22.6 degrees. Both were the coldest of this season. Besides, Udaipur had also become the coldest city in the state. Even in a city like Mount Abu which is considered a cold area, the night temperature was recorded 1.8 degrees higher than Lake City i.e. 4.8 degrees. Dabok area adjacent to the city was colder than Udaipur city during the day. The maximum temperature there was 20.9 degrees. There was an increase of 1.5 degrees compared to Monday. The night temperature increased by 4.4 degrees and was 9.6 degrees.
The difference between day and night reduced by 5 degrees in three days
The maximum mercury has fallen by 6.8 degrees in 3 days. Last December 7 it was 28.1 degrees. At that time the night was also cold by 7.3 degrees. There was a difference of 20.8 degrees between day and night. Now this distance is only 15.5 degrees. In such a situation, the chill has increased not only in the morning and evening but also during the day. Even the sun was ineffective on Tuesday. By 12 noon the temperature was 18.3 degrees, which increased by only 2 degrees in the next 3 hours. It started falling back after reaching a maximum level of 21.3 at 2:45 pm. On the other hand, the maximum temperature in Dabok was 20.9 degrees. An increase of 1.5 degrees was seen in 24 hours. The minimum also increased by 4.4 degrees and was recorded at 9.6 degrees.
Same reason – snowfall in hilly areas
According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of snowfall that started in the upper areas of the Himalayas has reached the plain states. Cold has increased after snowfall in Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. From there, winds are reaching the state at high speed. Due to this reason the mercury is also falling. There is a possibility of slight relief from cold after December 14.
