These reasons for falling mercury
Western disturbance remains active in North India. Due to its effect, there is snowfall in hilly areas like Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. The cold winds from there are reaching the plains. Due to this, a decline has been recorded in the temperature of many cities of the state including Udaipur. Now the effect of western hot winds has reduced. Instead, the influence of northern winds has started increasing. The winds coming from the north are cold and bring with them a gust of winter. This softens the mercury. Winds blew at a speed of 5 to 8 km per hour. The amount of moisture in the atmosphere has also reduced. That means dry cold winds are blowing. This increases the coolness. According to Meteorological Center Jaipur, there is a possibility of drop in night temperature in the next 3-4 days. There will not be much difference in day temperature. There is a possibility of severe cold in the next 2-3 days. There may be fog or mist at some places in the morning and evening.
