Communal tension again prevails in Rajasthan, fight between two communities, city closed here

Churu : A case of assault on Ramdevra Pedestrians Association has come to light in Sardarshahar of Churu district in Rajasthan on Friday evening. It is being told that as soon as the people of the association went some distance from Teliyo ki Masjid, people of other community surrounded them. They started opposing the DJ from in front of the mosque. The people of the association were explaining to them that the people of other community started vandalism and beating them up.

People surrounded the police station and burnt tyres

In protest against this incident, a huge crowd of people gathered in front of Sardarshahar police station till late Friday night and they kept expressing their protest by burning tyres. During this, people demanded the immediate arrest of the accused from the police officers who came for persuasion. After this, SDM Meenu Verma, DSP Anil Kumar Maheshwari and Thanadhikari Arvind Kumar Bhardwaj held a meeting with Hindu organizations and senior people of the city, in which the DSP said that 3 people have been taken into custody in the case and other accused are being searched on the basis of CCTV footage.

Sardarshahar closed today, sanitation workers on strike

After the assurance of the police, the demonstration going on in front of the police station ended and late night, Hindu organizations called for a bandh in Sardarshahar on Saturday. At the same time, the sanitation workers of the Valmiki community of the Nagar Parishad decided not to do the cleaning work on Saturday. Today, since Saturday morning, the sanitation workers of the Nagar Parishad have boycotted the cleaning work and are sitting on a dharna in front of the Nagar Parishad and the sanitation workers protested fiercely in front of the Nagar Parishad and shouted Jai Shri Ram slogans.

Deployment of additional police force in Sardarshahar

Today, on Saturday, the entire Sardarshahar is closed in protest against the incident. As a precaution, the administration is also fully alert about the incident. In view of the seriousness of the matter, police contingent of Churu Police Line and nearby police stations have also been deployed in Sardarshahar. Now after 9 o’clock, Hindu organizations and people of the city will reach Gandhi Chowk and further outline will be prepared. The effect of the shutdown is being seen in the markets since Saturday morning. All other establishments except emergency services are seen closed.
