Pratapgarh News Desk: Students reached the Mini Secretariat today with a complaint of getting poor quality food in the boys hostel run by the Tribal Development Department in Pratapgarh. A memorandum was submitted to the Sub-Divisional Officer in the name of the Collector demanding action here. In the memorandum, the students have also accused the hostel superintendent of threatening them. Lakshya Meena and Dheeraj Meena, who are studying in the Government Tribal Boys Hostel, said – 50 boys live in the hostel, and for a long time everyone is being given poor food. Insects and hair appear in the vegetables, and rotis are also made from bad flour.
Only three liters of milk is brought and mixed with water for 50 children. Even fruits are not available on time as per the menu prescribed by the department. When students complain about this to the hostel superintendent, he says, “We are also eating, if you don’t want to eat then go home.” Hostel Superintendent threatens the students. Frustrated students reached Mini Secretariat today and submitted a memorandum in the name of Collector to Sub Divisional Officer Manilal Tirgar due to lack of solution. The memorandum demanded improvement in the quality of food.
