Condemn the Election Commission, but take care of the language: Somnath Bharti

New Delhi, November 29 (IANS). Aam Aadmi Party MLA Somnath Bharti spoke to IANS on Friday. He reacted to the controversial statement given by Congress leader Vijay Jagtap about the Election Commission.

AAP MLA Somnath Bharti said, “He has used an unparliamentary language. In a democracy, you can condemn as much as you want, but the dignity of language should not be forgotten. We all have learned this from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.” All our old leaders, be it Jawahar Lal Nehru or Sardar Patel, never crossed the limits of language.

The AAP MLA said that people should condemn. Everyone is saying that the Election Commission is not working properly and it is playing into the hands of PM Modi. In the selection committee that chooses the three members of the Commission, two out of three people are from BJP, the Prime Minister himself and his nominee. If this happens then it is natural that the Election Commission will play into their hands. In such a situation, everyone should express their views, but keeping in mind the parliamentary language.

Maharashtra Legislative Council member Bhai Jagtap made controversial remarks on the Election Commission on Friday. He compared the Election Commission to a “dog”. Speaking to news agency IANS, he said, “I have spent more than 45 years in politics and there have been no such results in Maharashtra. They have not done anything like this. I have been saying before that if not today then tomorrow this will happen.” But there should be conversation.

“Congress has demanded that elections should be held through ballot paper. Our democracy is the largest democracy in the world. If anyone raises questions on that democracy, then the Election Commission and the government should answer it. The Election Commission is a dog. Narendra Modi ji by becoming a dog. “Sits outside the bungalow.”
