Rajsamand : Rajsamand On the second day of Kumbhalgarh Festival, Indian Idol fame Sawai Bhat performing Rajasthani songs and violin artists Pandit Kailash Chandra and Yogesh Chandra Mothia violin in the Durg premises. On the second day of the three-day 18th Kumbhalgarh Festival going on at Kumbhalgarh Fort in Kumbhalgarh in Rajsamand, tourists enjoyed the festival immensely. On Monday, a wonderful confluence of folk culture and music was seen. In the afternoon, tourists got to see Kachchi Ghodi, Kalbelia, Ghoomar, Chakri, Sahariya and Chari dances. During the night, Pandit Kailash Chandra Mothia and Yogesh Chandra Mothia gave a wonderful presentation of Raga Jog and Raga Durga on violin. The program ended with the tune of Vande Mataram, which filled the premises with patriotic fervor.
During the program, the presentation of Rajasthani songs and Sufiana style songs by Indian Idol fame Sawai Bhat and the group forced the tourists to dance. Sawai Bhat’s famous Kesariya Balam Aao Ni Padharon Mhare Desh and Damadak Mast Kalandar’s presentation won the hearts of the audience. On the second day in the afternoon, Jeevan Nath of Jodhpur and his Langa Party kept the people engaged in the program with their voice. Folk songs like Chhap Tilak Sab Chhini, Nimbuda Nimbuda and Kesariya Balam enthralled the audience. At the same time, Lal Aangi Gair dance of Barmer’s Parsamal and Party forced the audience to dance. This picturesque dance performed on the beats of desi dhol became the center of everyone’s attraction. Durga Shankar and Party of Chittorgarh entertained the people with their impersonation performance. Their different costumes and traditional art brought alive the cultural diversity of Rajasthan.
Three day festival concludes today
In the three-day festival, the culture and folk arts of Rajasthan are being displayed throughout the day in the fort premises. Traditional dances like Kachchi Ghodi, Kalbeliya, Ghoomar, Chakri, Sahariya and Chari dances are very much liked by the audience. Besides, competitions like Safa tying, Rangoli making and tug of war are also part of the event, the winners of which are being rewarded by the Tourism Department. During the program, foreign and domestic tourists are enthusiastically participating and dancing with the folk artists. During the festival, Deputy Director of Tourism of the Tourism Department Shikha Saxena, Assistant Director Vivek Joshi, Tourist Officer Jitendra Mali, Assistant Tourist Officer Neelu Rathod, Hotel Association President Bharat Pal Singh, Heritage Society Secretary Kuber Singh Solanki were present. On the third and last day, Tuesday, December 3, Barkha Joshi and the group will perform Kathak and folk singing. Mohit Gangwani and group will also play tabla. The three-day long festival will conclude tonight.
