According to the Panchang, Amavasya Tithi will be present on the night of 31st October. According to which, it will be auspicious to worship Lakshmi on the night of 31st October.

Auspicious time for Diwali Lakshmi Puja

According to the Vedic calendar, the beginning of Pradosh Kaal on Diwali will be from 5.36 pm to 8.11 pm. Whereas Taurus ascendant will start at 6.25 pm and end at 8.20 pm. In such a situation, it would be auspicious to perform Lakshmi puja from 6:25 pm to 8:20 pm.

Diwali Lakshmi Puja Method

To worship Lakshmi on the evening of Diwali, Ishaan or North direction is considered best. Clean the place of worship and make a Swastika. After that keep rice in a bowl. Spread a red colored cloth on a wooden post and install the idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi. Along with Goddess Lakshmi, there should also be pictures of Ganesh ji and Kuber ji in the picture. After that, purify the picture or idol by sprinkling Ganga water on it. Then offer flowers, incense, lamp, Akshat and Dakshina to Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha and Kuber Ji. After that, apply tilak to Goddess Lakshmi along with Ganesh ji and Kuber ji with turmeric and roll and apply rice. After the puja, offer bhog and prasad. At the end, stand up and perform the aarti of the gods and goddesses. After that light lamps in the entire house and the main entrance.
