Congress-BJP fear of conflict on these seats, state leadership busy in damage control

Jaipur : In the assembly by-elections being held on seven seats in Rajasthan, BJP-Congress are facing more factionalism and non-cooperation than rebellion. Complaints of factionalism on many seats have reached the state leadership of both the parties. Prominent leaders of both the parties are busy in damage control. In BJP, CM Bhajanlal Sharma, State President Madan Rathod and in Congress, State President Govind Singh Dotasara, all three co-in-charges have taken charge. There are less complaints of corruption in BJP, whereas there have been more complaints in Congress.

BJP: Internal resentment in Dausa-Jhunjhunu

BJP brought the rebellion after ticket distribution under control. CM Sharma and State President Rathore have convinced all the big leaders who had joined the rebellion. However, there is opposition to eating inside on some seats. According to sources, there are more complaints of internal resentment and non-cooperation in Dausa and Jhunjhunu assembly seats. In Dausa and Jhunjhunu seats, some local officials and prominent workers along with social organizations have not yet come openly with the party candidate. The party has not received any complaints in Khinvsar, Ramgarh, Deoli-Uniara and Salumber, but the party has kept an eye on these seats as well. Big leaders from Jaipur are continuously talking to the assembly constituencies and taking feedback.

Congress: Complaints on five seats

The resentment of the workers and leaders who were deprived of tickets is not being expressed openly, but the resentment persists internally. Due to this the candidates are not getting support. Some candidates have complained about this to big party leaders and PCC. After receiving complaints of infighting and non-cooperation of leaders, the state leadership has asked the party’s co-incharges and members of coordination committees to hold talks and resolve their grievances. During the campaign, State President Govind Singh Dotasara will also talk to the angry leaders. To pacify the angry leaders, they have been asked to give assurance of being given important posts in the state executive or in the district.

More complaints on these seats

There are more complaints of non-cooperation and infighting in Dausa, Khinvsar, Jhunjhunu, Deoli-Uniara and Salumber seats. More than 10 leaders were asking for tickets in Dausa. In Khinvsar too, there is resentment over the ticket being given to the wife of Sawai Singh, who came to Congress from BJP. In Jhunjhunu, many leaders are said to be angry with the Ola family being given tickets. The displeasure of former MP Raghuveer Meena and his supporters came to light in Salumber.

Big leaders will visit various districts today

BJP has asked more than 15 big leaders to visit various assembly constituencies. On Wednesday, Union Ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal will visit Khinvsar, Diya Kumari Ramgarh, Satish Poonia Jhunjhunu, Rajendra Rathod Dausa district. Many ministers and MLAs will also be on tour to different assembly constituencies on Wednesday.
